Stuck in Limbo - ZFest VIII Competition

DESCRIPTION: A short film that was produced by Why Create Films for the 2017 ZFest VIII competition.  Two and a half days of shooting and about three months of VFX work.  "Eva is hunted by demons, and must face them in order to protect and save Megan."

Details - ZFest VIII Competition

DESCRIPTION: A short film that was produced by Colliding Pictures for the 2017 ZFest VIII competition.  I had a small part in this film handling the end credits.  "A small group of vigilante hackers are investigating a corporate conspiracy when one of their own goes missing.  The path to uncover the truth could cost them their lives"

We Didn't Blow Up Today - 48 Hour Film Project

 

DESCRIPTION:  A short film that was produced by Mindwasp in 48 hours for the Spring 2015, 48 hour film competition.   Produced by a smaller group of 13 people. Our genre was SciFi.  "Regan, a quirky inventor with the utmost of good intentions, shares in her revelation with her best friend, Kevin; but when their plans backfire the do-o must lean on each others strengths to fix their mistakes."

Out of Zen - Zfest VI Competition

DESCRIPTION:  A short film that was produced by Why Create Films for the 2015 ZFest competition.  We had three months to work so we choose to challenged ourselves by trying a Film Noir style film.  "A desperate cop tries to end the corruption of his city while looking for his kidnapped wife using his only clue, Zen."

REQUIRED ELEMENTS: Use of the letter "Z" and show ZFest sponsors product, 2 Gingers.

Our team won 9 out of 13 awards we were nominated for: Best Production Design, Best Credits, 2 Gingers Shout Out Award, Best Fight Scene, Best Original Score, Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography, Best Drama, and 3rd Runner up for Best of Show

Blood Shed - 48 Hour Film Project

DESCRIPTION:  A short film that was produced by Why Create Films in 48 hours for the Fall 2014, 48 hour horror film competition.   Produced by a group of 23 people. Our genre was Serial Killer.  "A demented widower kills mercilessly with the hopes of resurrecting his girlfriend."

REQUIRED ELEMENTS: PROP: a broom. LINE OF DIALOGUE, "Never again." CHARACTER: Ethan or Ellen Diness Caterer

Honeymoon Over - 48 Hour Film Project

DESCRIPTION:  A short film that was produced by Why Create Films in 48 hours for the Spring 2014, 48 hour film competition.  Produced by a group of 18 people.  Our genre was Road movie.  "A couple on the road to their honeymoon swerve to avoid hitting a chicken, causing a series of events to happen."

Portal: Terminal Velocity

DESCRIPTION:  My greatest feat!  Based on the video game, Portal. This is my interpretation of what a real Portal gun would be like if one existed.  This went viral the summer of 2012 and appeared on such sites as: G4TV, IO9, Forbes, Itworld, Yahoo, MSNI.  This was the most challenging project I have ever undertaken, consisting of 3D tracking, seamless camera cuts and 3D camera projection.

DESCRIPTION:  College project.  A visual effects short where a soldier crawls out of the TV.  Inspired by the movie, The Ring.

DESCRIPTION:  A surreal short film produced for a college art project about a guy that experiences a few strange things while out for a walk. Inspired by the film EraserHead.

DESCRIPTION:  College film project where the focus was to parallel edit two peoples actions, and weave them together into a seamless piece.  Created by a group of 5 people.

DESCRIPTION:  College film project about homelessness in Minneapolis, MN.

War Sound Edit - College Project

Description:  The focus of this piece was to take a static 2 minute clip, remove all audio from it, and replace it with new audio.  Since the city is a busy place, I chose to transform it into a battlefield.
