Leathercraft

Prince Armory Imperial Knight build - in progress

DESCRIPTION:  Like many people during the Covid drama, many picked up new hobbies. I turned to leathercrafting. Started out with a few small items; bracelets, hats, bags, but I wanted to move on to something bigger, really challenge myself. Building a full-scale armored suit from head to toe. The overall design I can not claim as my own, the pattern was created by Prince Armory Academy. I did however customize the hell out of it by adding my own decorative designs throughout, adding my own personal touches. When complete I plan to wear this to Rennsaince events. Not historically accurate in any way, just a fantasy medieval-themed armor build made entirely out of leather.

ELEMENTS USED:  9-10 oz Veg Tan Leather for the main parts, 4 oz Chrome tan leather for any flexible sections, 5-6 oz Veg Tan for straps, Solid Brass buckles, snaps and rivets throughout, Red pro Dye, and metallic metal and gold leather paint.

If you are interested in making your own suit of armor, you can find this same build at www.princearmoryacademy.com along with many other patterns to choose from.
